A Chinese doctor has admitted in court that she stole babies from the hospital where she worked and sold them to human traffickers, state media and a court said.
Zhang Shuxia, a locally respected and soon-to-retire obstetrician, stood trial on Monday in northern Shaanxi province's Fuping county, according to online postings from the court.

Zhang worked in Shaanxi's Fuping Maternal and Child Healthcare Hospital.
"Zhang used her position as medical personnel to fabricate reports about the infants, saying they suffered from birth defects or diseases that were hard to cure," the court said in its judgement.

Dartmouth College Mandarin Student Dances 100 Days Across China

-This guy dances waaaaay too much.

My name is Jake Gaba, and I spent about 3 and a half months (100 days) in China studying Mandarin on a Dartmouth College study abroad program, and this is my way of cataloging my journey. Enjoy!

I knew I wanted to capture my experiences in a very special way, and I also knew that just taking photos of my travels wasn't enough. I had to dance.

I danced and filmed all over, including: Beijing, Chengdu, Xi'An, Lhasa (Tibet), Yangshuo, Zhangjiajie, Shanghai, Feng Huang, and Hong Kong. In some locations I had 100+ people gathered around my camera taking pictures and videos on their phones.

I want to say a big thanks to all of the Chinese people I danced with. You all were great sports. Also thank you to all my schoolmates who put up with me stopping every 30 minutes to shoot another segment. And one more big thank you to 代姗姗 for being an awesome camera crew person.

Justifying his dancing adventure, Jake said: “I knew I wanted to capture my experiences in a very special way, and I also knew that just taking photos of my travels wasn't enough. I had to dance.”

TRAILER: Song Bing Bing Confesses to Watching the Murder of her Principal during Cultural Revolution in Film "Though I Am Gone (我虽死去, Wo Sui Si Qu)"

-Hard to believe...

Available through dGenerate Films (http://dgeneratefilms.com)

Pioneering filmmaker Hu Jie (胡杰) uncovers the tragic story of a teacher beaten to death by her students during the Cultural Revoution.

In 1966, the Cultural Revolution exploded throughout China, as Mao's Red Guards persecuted suspected Rightists. Bian Zhongyun, the vice principal of a prestigious school in Beijing, was beaten to death by her own students, becoming one of the first victims of the revolutionary violence that would engulf the entire nation.

In THOUGH I AM GONE, Hu draws upon photographs taken by Bian's husband, Wang Jingyao, whose impulse to document his wife's death makes him a spiritual forebear to Hu's fearless work. Hu also incorporates vivid accounts from surviving witnesses and archival footage to depict the deadly madness of the era. The result is "a profoundly moving memorial to the victims of Mao's senseless political violence" (Dan Edwards, Real Time Arts).

Warren Buffett's BYD Chinese Cars Coming to America!

-BRING IT ON BYD!

Are you ready to buy Warren Buffett's Chinese car?

You might get your chance before long.

BYD Auto is a Chinese automaker that is partially owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK-B). For several years now, BYD has been talking optimistically about its plans to export Chinese-made cars to the United States. Now, the company is saying that it will begin offering its cars to Americans by the end of 2015.

BYD has done some intriguing work with hybrids and electric cars. But BYD has a long history of optimistic predictions, and the company has had a rough time staying competitive even in its home market. But the Berkshire Hathaway investment has given the company some global cred. Is it time to take them seriously?

As Fool contributor John Rosevear explains in this short video, it's one thing to compete with other Chinese domestic automakers at the low end of China's huge auto market, another thing entirely to compete with the world's best on the merits. But that's what BYD says it's going to do: Does it have a chance?

Would you buy a Chinese-made car? Check out John's report in the short video below. Then, scroll down to leave a comment and share your view.

Netherlands Has-Been Singer Gordon Racially Insults Chinese Opera Singer, Now Kind of Apologizes

-The guy was amazing!

After initially dismissing complaints about how he ridiculed a Chinese contender of Holland’s Got Talent, panelist Gordon has admitted that he now understands the issue better and that he will stop making jokes about Chinese people in public.
http://youtu.be/DthSHG05YGY

Gordon's initial responses revealed his belief that the jokes are acceptable and innocent, he is not a racist, and he does not feel a need to apologize. Among his points of argument are that, "the USA still accepts the Ku Klux Klan."  However, the controversy continued to hit news headlines in various forms.

Can’t be helped, the Chinese people [there probably] don’t interact with mainstream society, and must have left this kind of impression [on the judge].
Mishelin:
Just look at it as entertainment. Foreigners’ humor all has a bit of ridicule/mockery in it. Don’t be oversensitive.
